For the last 19 months I have been writing a feature length film script in collaboration with Colonel Charles Halt (Ret) based on the events that occurred during the Christmas period 1980 at the United States Air Force twin base complex of RAF BENTWATERS and WOODBRIDGE where he served as the Deputy Base Commander.

Our collaboration began in December 2007 after a chance meeting while working on a documentary programme about those events that have become collectively known as ‘the Rendlesham Forest incident’ and regarded by many as the most important UFO case since the Roswell incident in 1947.

The resultant script contains the most accurate timeline yet produced and Colonel Halt fully endorses its content that is based on his personal involvement in the proceedings, the known events involving other witnesses and on his genuine belief that several of the military witnesses were the victims of psychological manipulation after their respective sightings. The script will leave no-one in doubt as to the merits of those events that occurred over several nights in December 1980. Colonel Halt wishes to make the following statement,

“I wish to make it perfectly clear that the UFOs I saw were structured machines moving under intelligent control and operating beyond the realm of anything I have ever seen before or since. I believe the objects that I saw at close quarter were extraterrestrial in origin and that the security services of both the United States and England were and have been complicit in trying to subvert the significance of what occurred at Rendlesham by use of well practiced methods of disinformation.

I believe Gary’s script will lift a veil of secrecy about what really happened at Rendlesham, events that were and still are of tremendous defense significance to the United Kingdom and indeed the rest of the world.”

On 05/03/09 Russ Callaghan announced the closure of 'UFO DATA MAGAZINE' following a sharp decline in re-subscriptions in 2009 due to the ever increasing effects of the 'credit crunch'.

The loss of the magazine will leave a hole in the UFO printed material market.

Unfortunately since the death of Graham Birdsall and the subsequent closure of 'UFO Magazine' in 2004 as a high street publication the subject has faced increased difficulties in terms of finance to achieve a wider audience.

When I was Editor of UFO Monthly.com, my former online publication, I researched the costs involved in re-launching as a glossy high street publication and was quoted £50-100K along with no guarantee of success!

It is ironic and somewhat tragic that at a time when UFO sightings have dramatically increased over the last 9-12 months the subject is in the doldrums in terms of an adequate magazine to reach the public.

I believe what is needed is a rich benefactor with a genuine interest in the subject who can provide the necessary funds to launch a new magazine. 

Almost weekly I hear that singer Robbie Williams has a deep interest in UFOs. Well Robbie, if you get to read this - for what would be small change to you - you have the opportunity to make a real impact on the subject. Whether as an active partner or silent contributor, if you really are as interested in UFOs as you appear to be then I appeal for you to come forward to contact me.
